speedometer and odometer question.
just purchased a CDM cluster for my 92 hatch on ebay. reads KM/h on the outside and MPH on the inside up to 140mph
question. i heard theres a way i can take my odometer out of my USDM cluster and stick it into the JDM, and CDM clusters, so it will keep my mileage, and will count in Miles instead of Kilometers (for the odometer part.)
is that true, and if so, does anyone have any insight on how to do it?

Re: speedometer and odometer question.
Yup! Just did the same thing the other day. Its a little tricky, but straight forward at the same time. Basically you take off the clear part (comes out with the black part with circles). This can be a bit of a challenge, simply because you have to get all the tabs down at the same time. After that's off, just take out 3 (?) screws from the back that hold the speedo/odometer in and it should nicely fall out. Then all you need to do is take your original speedo and put it in the new one's place. Then just reverse the process to put it all back together. Like I said, pretty straightforward.
Hope this helps!

Not exaclty what im trying to do. Already did that when I swapped from my dx to a lx cluster with tach. I want to take the km/h cluster and put the miles odometer in it. So that the needle will show the km/h, but the odometer will count in miles and keep my mileage accurate.

Re: speedometer and odometer question.
Ahh I see! Do the speedo marks go further, or are they just compressed together to end at the same point as the old one? Cause if they go further, I would assume using the mph speedo/odometer unit would work fine. But if they're compressed, the mph speedo would read really fast.

Re: speedometer and odometer question.
heres the link to the auction i won.

im hoping i can just take the counter out of the USDM cluster and stick it into the CDM cluster. i only got it cause i prefer having KM/h, and its against the law to use it unless it has MPH on it, which it doess have, but JDM clusters dont.
