Hey i bought a 95 handa civic coupe dx the car had a few issues but i been knocking them out one by one. one issue is the speedometer, sometimes its works fine but other times it tends to jump up and down and then either stops workin for a while or it catches up and workes fine for a while. so ne 1 got ne ideals on wat it might be? would appreciate the input thx

 

could either be the speed sensor or the cluster, id go with the cluster 1st if that doesnt work get a new speed sensor

 

Same happened to mine. Replaced the speed sensor.

 

something i forgot does is ur engine vtec, if so does vtec crack when the gauge isnt workng? if it does its definitely the cluster but if it doesnt its speed sensor

 

his dont have vtec.. it a dx.. but most likely its ur cluster.. having this issue right now... just dont have money to buy a new cluster..i want the sir cluster .. but yeah definetly check ur speed sensor too though
