Speedometer cable..

Speedometer cable..
so, i've got a 95 civic ex, d16z6. all that fun stuff. the speedometer doesn't work. vtec does not engage, i'm sure it's the speedometer cable. i can't find a part number for the life of me. i've been to majestic honda, checked everywhere i can, and haven't found one. anyone have part numbers?

You can't find a cable because there is no cable the speedos are electronic. Check the VSS (vehical speed sensor) on the top of the trans. The plugs tend to get dirty and cause them to stop working

good to know. my daily is an EF, so i figured the EJ was the same, but i was wrong. Thanks for the response.
