Please someone help me. ok i have a 96 civic hatch with a stock motor in it. and i was driving when it started to back fire, spit, and not go up in rpm's really at half or full throttle. but when u give it a lil gas it will go ok. so i was thinking it might be a bad fuel fitller but no i got a new one. i put no plugs in and still does it. im now thinking its a bad dizzy because i took a spark plug out and hook the plug wire and tryed to strat the car and it did not spark. so can someone please help me out. because im running out of idea's

replace the cap,plug wires, and the rotor. Then see where you stand if it still is not running right test the coil per the service manual and replace if they do not check. One last thing check and clean all the grounds to the engine and trans. Do you have any codes
