Default Some Product Recommendations

So I searched and I couldn't really find exactly what I want.

I have a 2000 civic si with about 59000 miles on it, I just bought it bone stock. Only thing it has is tenzo-r 17's and some lowering springs. I want to get intake to start with, as well as a short shifter. I was looking around on Ebay and it seems like all the shortshifters are too cheap, how much should one cost? As for the intake, I know the standard AEM short ram is the best choice, but anyone know the best place to buy one is? Online, or... I'm in the orange county area.

Thanks for the help guys

edit- also, will getting headers/intake/exhaust heighten my chances of engine problems?

More questions... I'm fairly new to the whole scene, my first manual car... What type of things wear on my clutch? I already know how to drive, I practiced on a friends pos... I've been driving my car for like 3 weeks, just want to know what messes it up. For example, when I start from like a stop sign in 2nd gear I hear this kinda loud clicking/knocking noise, heard it b4 from my brothers GSR but I just don't get if it's bad. Also, too much down shifting bad for the engine? I feel like whenever I keep up my rpms to high im effing something up.. you know what I mean? Just crap like that..

Budget, goals, etc etc. I don't know how many times I'm going to have to ask this.

If you want to go fast without turboing it's going to cost you more than the value of your car.

You can get a good turbo setup for about $2000 give or take $500.

This really doesn't belong here.

Please do a bit of research on your own (making use of the H-T Search feature, FAQ's, etc.) and then post specific questions if you have any. Throwing out a bunch of general questions in one thread is not the best way to get assistance or information.
