Default some engine help (mini me)

i have a d16y8 engine/head all still intact. i also have a d16z6 head(sohc vtec)

can i just use all parts from the d16y8 engine(water pump, timing belt, etc) with the vtec head?

i already have the headgasket from the d16z6 engine.

Headgasket is fine for both y8 and z6 (one changes the compression a bit, I thnk the y8, forget how though), the waterpump is not part of the head, so as long as you have the y8 pump in the y8 block it's fine, but it wont fit in a z6 block. as for the timing belt, I forget exactly but you're gonna need the timing belt for the head you use. You're post is very unclear though, what are you trying to do?
