[QUOTE=and i wouldn't boost the b16b, that motor is almost double the price of a b16a swap and i'm pretty sure you could use that money towards a better setup[/QUOTE]

amen to that. an LS (b18b) would be 452562 times better to boost than any b16 and the price is about half. madly out torques a b16

theres plenty of different setups you can run for different things, just depends on what you want. build a better setup and beat his *** up and down the street

I agree with the other responses, ls and boost for more whp and tq than an sohc

a simple equation you should know is b16b + boost= BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (unless of course you go with lower comp. pistons, but then WTH would be the point of getting a b16b?...b16b is a good motor for NA only....they are basically a b16a with a factory port and polished head and a shitload more compression)

1 thing to consider is that stock Bseries replacement parts are typically much more than a same SOHC part(ex: Head, block)

what's your budget?

use the red button in the top right corner labeled "Search" and look under forced induction. threads for both d and b series in there...

dont bring up this arguement again.

to the OP: if this is your first turbo car I'd say search around and read more, then boost your D. Only reason I say that is because its cheaper.

as for making more power boosted on a b18b than a boosted d not really unless you want to go above 400 at the wheels seen more than a few 400+ built d's now. youll save a bit of money up front with the d by not having to pay for the new swap and with a decent build you could hit 250 or more pretty easily on pump gas... that and d series are cheaper to replace if something pops
