I don't know, this might be too non-commercial for you, but try looking around http://www.homemadeturbo.com. I'm turboing my d16y8 as well and have learned a lot from that site. I'm going to use a .42/.48 garrett t3, i'm just aiming for 180-190whp on a stock block though.

Also, try search and posting in the forced induction forum...

you already got a new cam, but now your getting a new one? you dont really need an aftermarket cam to make that much power w/ the setup you are talking about, just get a turbo that can make that much power without maxxing it out(not sure which one you should get) and up the boost till you get to that power. your motor will handle it as long as you have the tune right.

Get rid of the SRP pistons and get CP pistons. My friend put the SRP pistons in and the piston slap is just way too loud, even with them machined at the proper clearence at a machine shop.

A good turbo would be either a Garrett GT28R, or the GT28RS for a little more power.

Haha....well, before the motor warms up you will hear the piston slap, and it should be better once warmed up. But my buddies car it just sounds bad all the time. He's saving up and going to swap out the SRP's for CP pistons really soon.

yea SRP's are known for slap when cold. But you can easily get mid 200's(225-250) to the ground with a good setup and tune.

<---- 243/249 @ 7 psi

getting retuned for 10 psi and hopefully can break into the high 250's low 260's on stock internals. Only have a cometic hp head gasket and arp head studs for internals, if you wanna call it that...
