SOHC TURBO DYNO : BOOSTEDED9
I'm posting this thread because I couldn't find it by typing in SOHC TURBO DYNO in search and I think it's a great link for those who don't want to swap their SOHC motor. If this doesn't belong here i'm sorry but I saw it fitting.

yeah thats my boy's friend. sick numbers for stock block but:
A) this thread is gonna turn ugly
B) it's kind of old news
C) dont know if its relevant but the motor blew because of a radiator leak i believe?

Yeah I know it's old news.
But it's still something to look at and alot of people have trouble searching for things like this.
Which is why I posted it again.
That way when they put in such a common search string they'll find it. I know how to search and it still took me a bit to locate it again.
THere's no reason for it to turn ugly. I didn't down any swaps.. I said it's for those who want to boost instead of swap.

great dyno on that thread, but I'm always curious to know how many passes that engine will make before it throws a rod or make multiple holes in the block... but then again it is a d series and they are everywhere <SHRUG>
*EDIT* well I guess it blew... It was still nice to see someone pushing the engine to its limits

Thank you for the link to that thread. I'ved never viewed that one before. It'll give me confidence for when I bump my boost up to 12 psi on my Y7.

Hardly right away, it lasted through some abuse. We took it to the track a couple of times, made many dyno passes, and messed around on the street some. It blew because of the coolant leak and the resultant head warpage due to overheating.... hydrolocked. Who knows how long it would have lasted.... but that's what we trying to find out, this setup detuned a bit would be enjoyable, cheap and pretty quick.
