Slight Electrical Problem (heated seat switch LED)
I am putting in heated seats in my 97 EL and i have the factory switches from a wrecker. I was testing them out today and i found a little problem. For one of them, the LED is 'reversed.' and by reversed i mean that when the switch is engaged the LED is OFF, and when the switch is disengaged, the LED is ON.
Any thoughts?

Re: Slight Electrical Problem (marks97el)
Could "fix" (term used lightly) by using a relay (single pole, double throw) so that when current is given, it cuts current from the light on to an empty source (from 87 to 87a, empty).
But, this is just a hack. There is a problem going on.
BTW I'm not sure how many replies you'll get in this forum, we don't have heated seats.

Re: Slight Electrical Problem (Davus)
yea, i realize that most of us don't have the heated seats. I will ask else where, thanks anyway though.
I might take the switch apart and see what is going on. Worst case scenario i break an already malfunctioning switch and buy a 'new' set from wreckers and i hope that at least one of them works properly.
