Default Skunk2 ECU trouble

Does anyone have any answers to their p28 skunk2 rich running condion, and fluctuating idle?? On my 99 EX I messed with the Ignition timing and idle screw both havent helped much. I plugged my stock ecu back in to see if there was a possible vac. leak, but with the stock ecu in it runs as smooth as possible. So far there has been no progress. Is the spoon p28 any better, worse, or roughly the same in performance?? Havent looked into that very much. Any help would be great. Thanks

i have a p28 with the skunk2 program as well.

runs stupid rich, reeks inside the cab, the idle is weird. when i first start the car in the morning, if i dont give it gas, the car will die. i have to rev it a bit for it not to die.

my guess for it dying, is the ecu is dumping way to much fuel, and it is... cause my gas mileage is horrible.

ive played with the idle, didnt help much.

my ecu is setup for neptune and will be tuned within the next couple weeks, hopefully the a/f setup will be fixed.

I am starting to invest in a vafc as well to help with the a/f mixture. Hopefully that will steady out my idle and stop dumping all the fuel in the car. Yea gas mileage has dropped a rediculous amount as well. Thanks for the info.

use the safc, much easier to adjust with. and if you dont plan on playing with the vtec engagement.

do those run cheaper than the vafc?? I'm not really worried about changing my vtec around either so thanks for the info on that.
