tooqwik1:

I have the Skunk2 upper A-arms on my 1992 Civic hatch for correcting the negative camber that comes with lowering the car.

They retail for like $220.00 or so, but you might be able to get a better deal if you look hard.

Let me say that if your car is dumped and you have soft struts and springs up front, then the upper A-arms will HIT your underside of the strut towers and they will DENT them also.

I solved my problem by raising the car about an inch and running much stiffer springs and brand new stiff Koni struts. They no longer hit and the car handles bad-*** combined with 550R springs and a rear swaybar.

Something you should consider since you have S2000 wheels:

If you try to get the front camber at 0 with those wider wheels and a lowered car they are going to scrub pretty badly at the peak of your wheel wells.

When you go for an alignment tell them it's okay to have almost a full degree of negative camber so you don scrub your wheels to ****. a full degree won't harm the tires and it will actually handle better.

If you don't plan on dumping the car then just get the 1.5 degree adjustable upper knuckles from Specialty Products or something.

These retail for like $90.00 and don't make the upper amrs hit your car at all, but they also don't have a full 3 degrees of adjustability like the Skunk2 does.

Good luck.

really!? I thought you were able to slam it wit no prob.
I have this in my new project already(came with the car), so I dont have any experience with them. But I was looking forward to be able to slam it once in a while Besides the autox purposes, I think Ill be alright

The tires might not scrub, but again let me really express that if you do not have good stiff springs and struts the upper arms will dent the strut tower areas in the engine bay from the underside.

How would I know this?

Because they dented the **** out of mine on my own car. I was barely tucking the tire on my old 195-50-15s and the car wasn't really dumped, yet the arms would smash into the car and limit the suspension travel.

Stiffer springs and god struts will keep this from happening because you greatly reduce the chance of bottoming out.

I assure you guys that I'm not just pulling this out of my *** - I am just trying to help you guys out from my own personal experiences.

i'm running w/ the skunk2 camber kit, skuknworks (skunk2) coilovers and koni yellows. my car is dropped about 1.5"... 1 1/2 finger spaces for the wheelgap. am i safe? i left the konis at the settings it came with.

also, does anyone know how to remedy the damn squeaking?
