SideMarkers Parking light or trun singal?

Default SideMarkers Parking light or trun singal?
for some reason mine are hooked up to the parking light...well i know why my dad hooked them up that way.... Is that the right way they should be hooked up or what?

you can hook them up any way you want, but stock ones are turn signals only
