Side Moldings?
I got a 94 Civic coupe and it's red. I wanted to paint my side moldings the same color of my car, cuz everything on the exterior is red, even my stock front grille. I have a Wings West front lip and their whole lil kit. It's pretty simple, but nice too. I think that it would look tight if that black strip on each side was painted. If anyone has any info on how much it will cost, that will be greatly appreciated. What's the most cost effective way to do it?

most shops will probably charge 150-200 bucks. one other thing if you have been putting armoral on them it is very hard to get the paint to stick on. no one around me will paint mine due to this...

i had mine painted white on my white civ for awhile.. Just take them off, sand them down with really high grit sandpaper to scuff them up and get everything off of them (i dont think this will take off armour all or other dressing's residue, though). Then use testors or some other primer that is flexible enough for plastic, and get some touch up paint spray from the dealer or have an auto paint store match your paint code.
like with anything else when you paint, use several light coats and try to keep runs out of it blah blah blah..
Make sure when you take the guards off though, that you use a flat head screw driver, or better yet a sturdy paint scraper- either one wrapped in electrical tape so you dont sctach the finish on your car. And dont forget about the bolts inside the door. Mine broke when i tried to loosen them, its not a big deal. The one little peice thats on the fender has to have the fender romoved to get it out, so its easier to paint it on the car. just mask it off VERRY well and be carefull of runs.
