Should used cams be prepared for storage?

Default Should used cams be prepared for storage?

So I go home to visit my family and see that they did me a huge favor by cleaning some garage stuff.
Well they drained the oil out of a bucket containing my CTR cams, they're bone dry.

My question, is this safe? The cams were used. I don't see any wear but since the cams were used I donno...

just put a light coat of oil on them and wrap them in plastic securely, that will prevent them from getting any surface rust on them and keep them in good shape if you ever want to use them again.

dont seal the plastic air tight moisture will congergate in there.

Alot has to do where you live too. If you live in so cal, youd be better off then someone in hawaii as far as rust is concerned
