Default should I go turbo or not?

Im tring to decide wether or not to go turbo with my b16a1 or if I should put the bottom half of the crvtec on the head of the b16a1.
Will the turbo hurt my baby?
I herd someone got about 400 hp with both and that is my plan, but sence money is tight I can only do one thing at a time.
so what should I do?

All motor for reliability lot less hassling with tuning than turbo.

Do you really think you gonna get 400 hp from CRVTEC? Are you gonna be driving a track-only car? GO TURBO You'll at least have a better chance getting there.

I think he was talking about crvtec + turbo and 400 hp at the flywheel (320 to 340 at the wheels ) is very possible with that combo if built and tuned right.

I don't doubt that that setup is possible. But if you read the title correctly, it says "should I go turbo or not?". Since he already stated that turbo'ing the b16 is his first option, I am assuming that his proposed crvtec setup is not with a turbo.

True. But it seems like he already has the VTEC, so might as well just turbo that.

I don't want to sound like an *** but then he said, "I herd someone got about 400 hp with BOTH(b20 bottom end and turbo) and that is my plan, but sence money is tight I can only do ONE (b20 bottom end or turbo) thing at a time." That is how i read it.

Go turbo...it doesn't really matter which motor you use.

Look I plan on doing both but money is preventing me from doing both at the same time.
So for a year or so I will have to do one or the other. I suppose I should have said, Which should I do first??

I would go CRVTEC first, and then turbo.

go crvtec first and then turbo it later. It will be easier to save up the money this way because the turbo tuning and upkeep are going to cost alot. Plus you might as well have a fresh turbo on the already broken in engine than a tired turbo on a block that you can't even rev on for the first 600+miles

Build the crvblock, but make sure its built for turbo, not all motor. what i mean is, dont use too high of a compression, then think you can just add a turbo kit. good race motor..but not for a daily driver. then break the motor in and save up for the turbo kit. u could save a lil more money that way.
