yes definately get an alarm
i got mine after my car got broken into but for the 200 i paid it pages me up to 3/4 a mile away. also if u have a stick shift try to have them put something in it where it will disable the ignition not the starter and also get a hood sensor
a lot of thieves will just pop your hood and cut the alarm siren then get in the car and just push start it. and since most alarms only have starter kill u can still push start the car with the alarm on.

Re: Should I get an alarm? (siregcivic)
an alarm is the 1st mod anyone should do to their honda. Dont listen to anybody who says otherwise. If most of you actually read his post, hes a noob at this. Kill switches, detachable steering wheel, and stuff like that is probably out of his league. It probably wont save you car from being stolen but it will let you know someone is messing with your car. Shop around and get a decent DEI product. At least get one with a starter kill. Shouldnt be more than 200 at the most if you shop around. After you get some more experience tuning your car, then do the kill switches and stuff. good luck and keep it safe.

500 for an alram? NO. To a theif it doesnt matter if its a $50 alarm or $500. If he wants your car he will get it. i recommend getting something to lock the pedals, and some kill switches. A removable steering hub is good too. Its not 100% that he wont get ur car but if u give him a hard time to steal it, he may quit in the middle and say it not worth stealing

My siren is mounted underneath the splash guard for the fender with the splash guard in place and the car slammed you cant cut the siren unless you rip out the splash guard. you cant get to it kause my fender is the height of the tire jus a little added insurance.

i recomended a high-end alarm to get the paging feature.your alarm going off is no good if you never know it.i know i can't hear my siren inside the mall or anywhere else that i'm not close to the car
at the very least get one of the add-on pager systems for a cheap alarm.
