Should I Buy this Parts Car?
This is just a feeler about whether or not I should buy this car as a parts car, and how much is a reasonable price. I'm looking to purchase it for a rear brake conversion and some other things on my 00 EX. It looks perfect for the parts I need, but would like to hear your opinions. Thx

I hate to see honda's treated like this, and I'm not talking about the crash. Look at those awful wheels and hood.
OP- It doesn't look like there will be many usable parts on that car.

Re: Should I Buy this Parts Car?
The car is at an auto auction, so Im hoping to get a really good price on it. From the accident report, it says it hit a immovable object, so im assuming a drunk driver hit a wall or something.

Re: Should I Buy this Parts Car?
Well im right next to a scrap metal place, so all i have to do is trailer it to the metal place, and they will pay me for it. Thats no problem. Im hoping to grab the parts i need, sell some stuff that still might be good, ie Trunk, Tailights, rear bumper cover, and other misc, prolly fuel pump. and mebbe break even.

Re: Should I Buy this Parts Car?
like i said its at an auto auction so its all on how its bid. I cant tell from pic to see if hood is good. Im thinking like max out my bid @ 500.00. And i wont apply for title, ill just let it sit in a field before i pay sales tax and all that crap for a salvage vehicle

If that's the intent, you might be able to walk away with some cash in your pocket after reselling some parts.
Might be work the trouble in the end.
I'm thinking probably some engine pieces can be salvaged, might be an ECU in there, trunk, tails, etc.
Maybe $50 for a 2000 lb chunk of metal from the scrap yard.

Re: Should I Buy this Parts Car?
Well i appreciate all the input, i think im going to definitely try and get it when it comes up to auction. If i win it, ill post and see if theres anything anyone wants. Like i said i really only have interest in brakes and a few other minor parts.

unless it WAS a drunk driver, then they would have impounded it and then after a certain length of time sell it. hence the auction
