Default Should i buy this EK?

I'm looking for a new hatch. I went and looked at this car today but for some reason, i felt this midori was off. the color was not as nice or similar to other midori ek hatches...Other than the paint and a few nicks here and there, the car was nice. I'm not worried about the tired D motor, i'm gonna drop my b16 in it out of my eg hatch. Interior is nice but i would order new carpet and build from the ground up.

"1996 Honda Civic CX with a D16Y7 with a SOHC VTEC Engine. The D16Y7 is not the original stock engine that the 1996 Civic CX comes with. The Motor is in excellent running condition. The motor has 130,000 miles and the body has almost 117,000 on it. The transmission has absolutely not grinds. The heat and AC do work. All lights, turn signal, head lamp rear break light all lights work. The Body is in good condition. Paint still shines. There is paint chipped on the driver side door. The rear bumper cover is dented in on the left hand corner."

I find it odd that they say the y7 was not the stock motor, because it was (but that could mean just a different y7). It's also not vtec, so I think you'd need to do all that wiring, but it looks pretty clean.

enough about the motor...thats not what i'm worried about. I'm more interested in the body/ paint. does it look worth 2200$? I mean, when i saw it today i was like "WTF, the color is off a little"

i think you should get it. 2200 for a EK is pretty damn good. but check the body and what not.

The body is in pretty good shape. The only thing i was worried about was the paint. I was gonna have it resprayed untill i got quoted 2g's, but now kaotic customs told me around 1000...which is more in my price range.

looks hot, I definitly have to say that the one you are going to buy does not seem to be sitting in some nice shiny sunlight and probably not its cleanest, also that other one is, and most likely waxed as well.

I felt the same way when I went to pick up my electron blue si in shitty cloudy *** weather, and also was not very well cleaned. Once I gave her a good wash and it was sunny outside, I saw a much bigger difference.

try to see if you can get some nice pics of it in the sun.

That looks like a pretty horrific dent in the back bumper there. But an EK for $2200, that's not all that bad.

2200 is a bit steep if you are goign to have to repaint it and fix up the interior. I bought my Milano red DX hatch for 2300 and the paint was fine with mint interior.

Honestly it looks worse in the pics...i was looking at it in person today. I was just like "can i see myself...a guy rocking this color hatch for a while...?" i'm just wondering if rims and lowering the car will make a difference? I guess its just all on me.

Yes, lowering it and putting some new wheels on will make a world of difference. My buddy has a Midori hatch and I have to say....it looks awesome.
