If you use your finger to cover the FITV port inside the throttle body, does the idle speed decrease to normal?

I just did it myself. I had the same problem... no matter what I tried I was still getting ALOT of vacuum at the bottom port of the throttle body. After I was sure that my FITV was working correctly I decided to cut up a plate to block the ports at the FITV itself. That did not work and I was STILL getting air through the bottom throttle body port when warm. Then I cut a plate to put in between the throttle body and plenum to block the bottom port at the throttle body gasket...that def stopped it I even had to turn my idle screw back out a little to up the idle to normal.
This was originally a test but until I find the "real" fix I do not see any big performance issues at all. It drives like it has a small vacuum leak instead of like I'm missing my butterfly valve now...and it prob does leak some air through my plate, so that's expected.
That valve only lets more air into the manifold when your coolant is still cool. As soon as it warms up some that valve is supposed to close and is only used for warming process, so I simply sit im my car when I first turn it on and its cool and press the gas to get it up to 1500 or so for maybe 30-40 secs...then I will let it idle for another minute or so to make sure its warm. Now I am no mechanic...but the way I see it, it's gotta be better than shift-shock, high engine temps, and gas guzzling...I personally won't rest until everything is functioning as it should, but I see no harm right off the bat as a temp fix...if it's done right, that is.
I'll let you know if anything tragic happens with my car...ha ha

yea i went out to the car today and test out some stuff. First thing i did was cover the whole tb and the car died on me so i can say that there is no vacuum leaking. Next thing i tired was unplugging the IACV in back of the intake manifold and the car would idle fine, but there alot of suction coming from the FITV port to...

If the FITV port has suction after the engine is fully warm, then the FITV is the problem.

Why not first try to clean and adjust the FITV? Click link in my signature.

So an alternative is to replace the FITV with a good one.

iv done this for a few cars. deletes the bouncing and surging problems.
also if you ever need to take off your TB, u can without messing with coolant lines.
and no more heating the tb.

cut a plate. drill holes. honda bond it up. and bolt it on....

ok i block off my fitv and the car ideal got a little better but that it. when i first start up the car it would ideal around 2k to 2.5k rpm and it would stay like that and till i shut the car off. when i restart the car it would ideal around 8oo rpm to 1k rpm after warm up but when driving the car it will stay ideal like 2k rpm in 5th gear cursing. when i come to a stop it would drop down around 800rpm to 1k rpm. what do you guys think it might be? sorry for the long write up but i just tired of this ideal problem..

your IACV can jus be bad then. it wont give you a code unless its unplugged.

your TB cable, you dont know how to adjust it ??

make sure there is no tension on the cable but tight when the TB is closed.
(with the car off)
adjust the cable nuts. and adjust the idle control screw on the Tb itself..
