Default short shifter

THe next thing on my list of things to buy is a short shift kit for my 99 civic ex. The throw on the shifter is so long so i need to shorten it up. I wanted some opinions on which ones to go for and which to stay away from, maybe some pics of how it looks would be cool too. thanx

I like my JDM Type r one. A lot better than the stock '00 EK one. I don't how much they are though. When they did my swap, they threw it in. The throw is a lot shorter.

why don't you guys just hold the shifter lower down the shaft and shift that's what I do, I like the easy feel of a long shifter, but for fast shifting I just grab it lower...

I had a DC short shifter in my car and did not like it at all, for some reason i would often grind third. Shift feel was choppy and not smooth. I swapped it out for an OEM ITR shifter. ITR shifter is great. Smooth shifts and shorter than a stock EK shifter. Not as short as the DC but a lot smoother. No more grinding

Skunk2 short shifter with Skunk2 shift ****= very happy person.
Also Skunk2 uses a strong metal not aluminum and won't break....if someone breaks one of those they should win a hefty prize and of couarse a new shifter..haha

thats the point genius, it is supposed to be the same height just a shorter throw.

I use an EvasiveMotorsports SS and would recommend it to anyone. Ive posted pictures of how much shorter it is than stock before (but can dig them up if you guys need a reminder).

Its a beefy peice and feels quite heavy unlike the cheapy aluminum ones. Ive been using it for close to 6 months and love it. I think I payed like 35 bucks for it here on HT.

Because the point is to have a shorter throw not the actual height of the shifter
