Default shift problems?

hey whats up, i have a 95 civic with manual transmission. should you be able to go into neutral without stepping on the clutch? if not than whats up?

you can go into any gear (or nuetral) without the clutch. if ur putting it into a gear without the clutch then as long as ur rev's match then you're good 2 go

Play it safe, use the clutch ALL the time.

i do use the clutch all the time, i just wanted to know if it was normal for it to do this, because on my dads saab you cant go into neutral without stepping on the clutch.

From a gear to Neutral, you can. Into a specific gear, it's risking it.

there is a good reason our cars have clutches. use it. ill garuntee every time you do that you are shortening the life of the transmission, even if you dont hear a grind. dont be a dumbass.

yes its normal to be able to slip the shifter into neutral but DO NOT DO IT. use the damn clutch.
