Shift Linkage issues!!! please help
i have a 95 ex coupe w/ b16 OBD1 and GSR (94-95) tranny i have a shift linkage from a 99-00 civic si and i have a ebay shift linkage that says it will work for any b-series swap. my problem is that with both of these linkages installed in the car, i only have use of 2 or 3 gears maybe before it pops out of gear and the shifter is ridiculously loose, like i am not connected to anything. i was told the tranny was good and i put on a new exedy clutch. anyone tell me what i am doing wrong or do i need a specific linkage. thanks.

Aside from the slaughter of the English language, this is most likely correct. The spring pin cannot be reused. Get a new one. DO NOT USE A BOLT.

Yes it will, but if the shifter feels loose - like you can toss it from one side of the car to the other with your breath - it's not the linkage, it's the connection at the transmission.
Get a new spring clip.

the ebay linkage was supposed to be a hasport linkage, it is not. but it seems to short versus the 99-00 civic linkage at least seems to be the right length. and i bought new pins for each of the linkages.

Re: (gryan999)
I have a Japanese B16 shift linkage in my 93 si. The bronze/Gold one. It works awesome. I'm sure anyone of these guys on here that sells JDM engines have a 92-95 civic shift linkage from japan. It'lll probably be the most exact fit. Like someone said above, the 94-01 shift linkage should work fine too.
