seriously how much is too much?
how much would you guys consider being too much money to spend on your car?
not including how much you bought it for but just how much money on extra stuff?
i mean i am thinking of doing a full RSX type R swap like Area 51 did in my 96 hatch. but i called and they quoted me 15G's yes i said $15,000. that was back right after he did it i don't kow what the price is now though.
and thats just for the motor not even interior and body work and suspension.
i mean seriously how much is too much like if you guys could say ok i have X amount for everything what would that dollar sign be.
i mean seriously?

no more than 3 g's total into my 94 Si.
Thats a fully built SOHC, suspension, misc stuff, and tires. Most of it was through hook ups and friends
this is for a daily driver, auto crosser, and mid 14 seconds SOHC screamer

It all just depends on your budget and what you want to do. I believe a project is never done, there's always more you can do. So far, my old supra about $14000 of parts, Integra $12,500 in parts, and my Hatch now around $11000 and still going.

I am spending my first big splurg of cash, and it's on a new engine. I wouldn't be surprised if I spent more than $15k by the time I was all said and done. No big deal.

I would consider too much going into debt for parts. It's one of my hobbies so I don't consider it a waste of money. If I didn't spend it on my car it'd be on beer or something else. At least I still have something to show for the money I've spent instead of a hangover. I save a certain amount every month for my car, and no more. 15g's for a RSX swap. Your over halfway of just buying the whole RSX. If it was me I'd just buy a RSX. It would be different though.

Probably over 8 grand into my hatch and it doesnt even currently run.
Ive been reevaluating lately and have decided that im checking myself. No more complete color change. Im either going to paint it myself or go with someplace cheap like macco. I love oranges.
My money can be spent on other things that make life more enjoyable all the time and not just when Im in the car. Things like my girlfriend, room, and new 27" flatscreen
