To Sell Or Not To Sell?
Have owned my Civic SiR-S for 3 & 1/2 years now and in the last year i did a full rebuild on the engine with the usual low comp, rods etc and boosted it. I'm been having small pain in the *** problems with it since i got it back on the road and am now starting to get sick of fisting cash at it.
Seals gone in el cheepo xs power turbo twice in 3 months
Leaks fuel from top of tank after putting a walboro in
Prelude caliper clunking when applying brakes
Exhaust blowing after clattering these stupid speed humps i have round my way
Fuel guage not working neither is the interior lights
Tracking needs re-doing
Needs new coilovers again after i got sent coilovers for a coupe and as i'm inpatient i fitted just the front ones and left the old avos on the back.
I know i should never had used the xs power junk but had to try it myself.
So my question is shall i just cut my losses and flog it or ride it out and stash it away til i can raise more money to fix it? I would probably be lucky to sell it like this!
Trouble is once you've owned or driven a boosted Honda what the hell do you buy next?!
Sorry for the rant, just stressed out with it all!

Re: To Sell Or Not To Sell?
I think it boils down to what this car means to you deep down. I currently have a 2000 Taffeta White Civic hatch, and I love the damn thing. Thing is, this is my 2nd one after I sold my first white one off...I regretted it, and looked nearly twice as hard to find a 2nd one in good condition, as well as it's kinda hard to find white. My first one had little knick knack problems as well...so I sold it off because I got sick of dealing with it, but I found myself missing it too much. ANYWAY, point is, the Taffeta White EK was the first and only car I"ve ever wanted since I got into this, and I know what it means to me, so selling it off made me regret it. The one I have now, I definitely won't be selling it EVER.
SO...if you have a sentimental attachment to it, I say keep it, don't let the headaches get to you, I know my last one did, but its all apart of the process and build. If you bought it to just fool around with and drive around, then sell it. What a sick eg by the way...clean, the way I like it.

I think you store it and save up to fix it. U will regret it if u sell it! Dont let it get into the hands of a stupid kid who doesnt no what hes doing and mess it up even more! Where would the fun be if things were perfect? Everything would be so boring!
