seat belts - is this bad?
not my car-
i know that having those belts + no cage is bad, but is having the belts mounted that way bad? i always thought if you mounted the backs of the belts that low, your back would be compressed in an accident. tia.

You are correct, the shoulder straps should pass back behind the seats at as close to horizontal as possible (parallel to the ground). If you have to run them slightly lower that's alright, but I wouldn't go more than 15-20 degrees below horizontal, 30 deg. MAX.
...probably not a right way on the harness but not 100% sure.

Yeah they should be mounted to a roll bar, however I have seen certain ways to safely mount them w/o one, however on the street thats just dumb, even if it is "Takata".

No, this is not correct. However, rules in Japan arn't like US track standards. Example: Spoon DC2 isn't prepared as well as the Grand Am or Speedvision DC2's. Roll cages are different, ex. So, no this isn't the best way to mount 4 point harness. Better way would be with a J's Bar or Roll Cage.

My understanding is that the way you have them mounted they will break your shoulders if you are impacted. They need to be mounted at the same height as your shoulder. There are harness bars out there for like $90 that will fix you up.
