I did a swap into a EK coupe put in a ls motor.

The First CEL that came out was

ELD fixed it .. was a blown fuse #15

2nd was Ignition ouput signal.. (replaced the box twice) Fixed

3rd Iac (code 14) I had a couple wire plugs switched... (I believe) now the cel for it was gone....


But now its idling at 1500-1800 rpm up and down.

Right now i have a GSR TB on a LS obd1 Intake Mani bypassing the Fast idle.. etc etc (The sensor under the TB) with a straight hose to the head. Is this the problem should i just get a OBD1 Ls TB?


The car has no CEL. I even clean the system of air bubbles as much as i can. But the idle went down a bit in my eye and it doesn't overheat anymore..... PLEASE H-T NEED HELP

did you say you did an ls swap? or a cbr swap. i did not think ls's could go up to 18k rpm

i think they mean 1500 to 1800 RPM

why did you bypass the fitv?

because the gsr tb doesnt align with the LS tb ...... so it will leak all over the Intake manifold...... should i replace the tb with a LS tb thats what im thinking about doing

yeah unless you have a chipped ecu to control the idle cold then you need the fitv thats the reason your car is idling that high

ok thanks hopefully this fixes the idle it actually runs fine juss the constant up down idle
