Default scurbbing problems

I have a 93 eg, and I just put some wheels on it this weekend, 15" with 205/50r15 Toyo's and it is scrubbing when I go around corners real hard. Does anyone think that it could be the offset? The offset is +40. Anyone else have this problem with their eg?

Is it in the front? I had the same problem too. I have a 1.8 drop and after motor swap and settle it was like a 2 inch drop. I had 205/50 all the way around on 15's. I was getting scrubbing as well and I didn't like the way the front was jumping around the corners while downshifting. It seemed my front end was sliding out from under me. So I kept the 205's on the rear cuz of the hella grip, but I went w/ 195/50's on the front (which would be the factory spec, running a OEM 15 inch rim on a honda) it dont rub anymore and I have better cornering w/ my setup IMO.

Actually it is scrubbing in the rear. I have skunk2 springs on it. It is a 2.25 drop in front and 2.50 drop in rear. I also had an eg before this one with different springs on it than the skunk2's and it was doing the same thing. I am just wondering if it is typical of this car?

I would say it's the tire hitting the fender well. My setup the rear tire is tucked (while driving) I'm running 205/50/15 Kumho 711's running on OEM rim so offset is correct. and you are cleary .5 to 1 inch lower than mine while your driving.

I think that it definatly has to do wth the offset, but when I did the alignment last night, the camber was in the green on the side that it is scrubbing. It does not have enough negative camber, which may be causing the problem. On the passenger side, it does not scrub, and it has enough negative camber that it is not scrubbing. I am going to have to get some adjustable upper control arms, and pull it in a little bit.
