Default Save A Sol

Title says it all ....I checked my email and boom this guy from craigslist.com apparently emails me back about my interest in his del sol (I never remember emailing him at all but I love del sols so wth ) I ask what his price (1000) so i tell him send me some pics .... here they are ...

And now for the rice ....

and so that's it's current state ...front end looks good rear end needs major attention ..As well as zero compression in valve #3 ...this car needs work but I have the funds available to make this a very fun spring daily driver ...

After several minutes of conversation he easily agreed it needed alot of work and agreed to the As is sale price of 600 ..which j thought was a steal ..lml so today I'm having it towed via AAA an thts tht my new project even tho I have a pretty serious build going (07 350z TT ) I'm finally getting back into the honda game I've owned a del sol ls turbo before . I'm very excited and so Is my best friend his ek hatch b16 turbo is the same color lml .... stay tuned...

No radiator. You need a radiator. But nice find! Good rims too. Just get a 1 inch lowering kit and you will be good to go.

I'm guessing that's a D15B7 in there?

Zero compression in a $600 car is easy to fix - Pick up a second motor, rebuild it, and put it in. Run a cheap header or junkyard manifold and stock (for the replacement motor) ECU/injectors for initial break-in (50 miles of hard driving, done), strap that cute little turbo back on with a basemap, baby it to your local tuner, and put down some power worth talking about.

Please for the love of all things holy tell us you're going to replace those tails.

I'm willing to bet that "turbo kit" is some horrid knock off kit pls replace it with a proper turbo and any other crucial components. Good chance to strip the thing completely and repaint etc. just be careful looks like there's some rust in the bay and I'd bet underneath too.

Why can I not find Sol's like that here... All the deals here are stripped shells or look like they were in a combat zone...

It is a nice find, can't wait to see progress pics.

man I remember getting my del sol and having the rear passenger side brake caliper seized up

I also remember cutting the brake line out of anger and removing the mounting bolts and it still not coming off. I ended up beating it with its own tire iron for a half hour until came off in prices

Ok I found a d15 with 123k that runs perfectly with all engine accessories but.....it's an automatic engine???? WILL THIS WORK OR DOES THE ENGINE HAVE TO BE A MANUAL SINGLE CAM ENGINE

It'll work just fine. Just swap your intake manifold over to the replacement engine.

Yes, but I'm still pretty sure the motor in that car is a D15B7.

It'll fit. You may have to modify some sensors, but it'll fit.
