First of all...
the reason why you lost to her is because you got an AUTOmatic transmission.
I say sell that car and get a manual Civic. Better something with more power, such as the 99-00 civic SI, 94-97 Delsol VTEC or any integra.
It sound like you may not have the skill/experience to do the manual transmission swap. Just some of my thoughts.

With the auto tranny you can't even say your ride is more fun to drive. With a manual, even though your ride would most likely still be slower, it would be more fun. Speed isn't everything. Driving a slow car at 7/8's is more fun than driving a fast car at 1/2 of it's potential.

Better yet, spank her..........in front of her dad! Panties around the ankles, that'll teach him!
But yeah, why wouldnt you ride to the movies in the same car with your g/f? Seems kinda lame. And you were silly for thinking you had a chance.

Forget about your automatic Civic then. You'll have an M3.

Am I the only one who had trouble reading that? BTW, autos typically run 4-5 seconds slower in the 0-60 than their manual counterparts, at least that's my experience.

hrrm... i don't know about you, but i feel super uneasy if my girlfriend had a faster/nicer car than me!
thats just not right! its always been human nature that men drive better cars. And chicks got better hygiene or something.

Okay having been married to my wife for 28 years. The best thing you could do is sell the car and pick up a 1999 Honda civic SI. Buy and bolt DC sports 4-2-1 headers, Greddy EVU catback exhaust., AEM underpulley kit, Injen cold air intake, and a B&M short shifter kit . Leave the exterior alone, this will be your sleeper car. Now without her knowing go practice away from her until you learn to punch that bastard car into gear and shift like a man, cause I know my SI would kick that cars ***, cause I've done it. Just remember you wont get laid for awhile, just think of it as being married. Good luck.
