you can get itr 1" or the old ex 15/16" do you just have one laying around?

I'm curious what the benefits of an enlarged clutch master cylinder would be. Mine has always felt off, like not fully disengaging the clutch (though it does, but reverse scratches) and I wonder if this is the result of the previous owner of this master cylinder having one too big/small for the car.
