ruthless engine vibration - b18a1
my coupe vibrates like a ************ - you can barely hear the radio - it does it from the time you start it at idle and all the way through the revs - its like everything inside the car is loose and rattles really bad - you can barely hear the radio - and you can feel it in the seats and in the shifter... my side mirrors are blurry, and my rearview doesnt stay put, it vibrates so much it ends up pointing down.
my engine doesn't move AT ALL - its like its welded in there! the mounts have no give, and they're stock mounts! when i put an engine hoist on the exhaust it just picked up the car and the motor didn't move at all. what the hell?
i kind of rigged the b18a1 in, using all the 92 integra mounts, and which one should i replace if this is the problem? just the rear? just the passenger side? or is it because my exhaust is pulled tight against the engine? when i did the engine swap, i put a turbo on as well. i already had a downpipe made for a d series engine, but the manifold for the b series sticks out a little farther than the d series one i was using, so i just pulled the exhaust as hard as i could and bolted it REALLY TIGHT (completely compressed the springs that go around the bolts that go through the flanges on the exhaust, like where my cat would be).
its so damn annoying to drive even though its quick
OH - also, i used the LS cable transmission that came with the motor - are there different mounts i should get since its not hydraulic or something?
crap
