Default running without vtec

im currently swapping out my old cx motor from my 1993 civic with a d15b vtec, i have the p28 ecu but i still have the cx stock wire harness and with that connected the vtec wont run if im right, with the motor not running vtec will that damage it in anyway? and how do you manually wire the vtec up with the cx wire harness?

i dont think i would hurt it, anything its prob better for it. you need to run wires for your vtec, its like for the solinoid (sp) and the pressure switch, if you search it, youll find it, promise, its been cover alot.
