Default Rotors rubbing my Rotas

I want to get some Cross Drilled Brembo rear rotors but the advertisement says that they fit 16's and up. It that true or is it suggested?

I'm running 15in Rota Circuit 8's.

if they are a stock replacement (same diameter), you'll be fine. The caliper sticks out farther than the rotor, and if the rotor is bigger, it won't fit the caliper.

that's a whole replacment kit. replaces more than just rotors, and you would need 16" wheels to clear the calipers for that kit.

DO NOT buy those. They will wear out your pads quicker than blanks and they are more susceptible to cracking than blanks as well. They will not do what they say they are going to do.

For that price, you can upgrade to Integra front AND rear brakes.

Please save your money.

I only glanced at it, either way his 15's wont clear the caliper. I have full integra brakes on my car, from the bb to the rotors, and that is all you need. My ability to hold traction dictates my stopping power. IMO big brake kits are a waste on most honda's, all it will do is help you lock the wheels faster.

So is there an upgraded rotor for 15's? You know, an upgrade where I can keep the stock caliper?

I have disk breaks all the way around. Are Integra rotors larger than Civics?

If I were you, I would get stainless steel brake lines, a master cylinder brace, and some hawk pads. You'll have plenty of stopping power.

Do stainless steel brake lines actually help?

yes, the lines you have now flex when you apply the brakes, causing minor brake fade, and a weak pedal feel. The master cylinder brace does the same thing for the brake booster.

Hawk pads huh? Are they good with Brembo rotors, I don't want them to eat away at them.

What about Integ rotors, are they larger than Civic rotors (I don't see why they would be).

That's funny because I have a H22 in my EG and the Brembos made a big difference and they have done just what it said they would do. As for the cracking and warping almost every cross drilled rotor has that problem after a while. The Brembo cross drilled rotors are great additions.

This is true .......... in extreme heat situations in racing .......... and in AZ.

But I have read a couple articles about how stainless steel lines are very bad for the street. Supposedly, brake dust and other dirt get "into" the braiding of the lines and they end up rupturing after a while of use (say ......... 1 - 2 years). No wonder the pros replace the lines after every road race.........

So do a search on SS brake lines and see what you can come up with, I've seen a lot of people on here talking about how you shouldn't use them. I was looking into getting these awhile ago and decided not too after finding these problems out.

ss lines can also break and u dont know when they are going to break, which is why it isnt the best idea to use them on the street. for rubber lines, u can see cracks, but u dont know when ss lines are going to rupture.

LOL funny little banana......wait..what were we talking about again?

Oh, SS break lines. That makes me wonder, the entire, Big Break Upgrade sounds like a waste of money. Cause you have to go out of your way to find the rotors and then the break lines my screw up on you. Does that sound about right?

IDK, I've never heard of ss lines breaking from brake dust. Mine were a 100% improvment, and I would bet money that my stock ones would have crapped out on me before these do.

Honestly, how often do you inspect your brake lines for cracks in the rubber?

a brake upgrade is not a waste of money... the brakes on EGs are puny, IMO. Even before swapping in the H22, I could tell that the brakes were going to need an upgrade. I don't think I could have locked them up if I tried, and the pedal was soft.

I went with 11" brembo blanks intended for use on a VW Corrado and some junkyard Integra calipers. Replaced th MC too. It made a huge difference in stopping power and I could never go back to the stock setup. Granted, you already have rear discs, but we all know the rear brakes don't do a whole lot anyway. I still have drums in the back but my car stops very well.

I can't imagine driving an H22 EG with the stock brakes...but thats just me. As far as the "Big Brake" kits from Wilwood and whatnot, thats definitely overkill.
