pull your head
pull the pistons
re-hone cylinder walls
new rings and properlly gapped
re-instaul
if you have never done this type of work, it will probablly be alot easier to jsut swap or drive like a normal person and shift in the lower rpms.
g'luck

It's cheaper to swap in a good running engine. Fixing the current one would involve disassembling the entire engine, boring out the cylinders, and installing new oversized pistons and rings. The parts, machine work, and especially the labor will add up to more than a used engine.
