Not always true. Autometers are cheap and have worked fine for people for years. Nascar and tons of the Top Fuel guys use them.

I would like to see them installed and see how accurate they are. They do look exactly like Defi's though

high shipping prices often go with low item price. it cuts down on sellers fee.

I just bought a greddy boost and egt.... it would probably look bad to have some missmatched. Really though the price is good.

plus its only like 1/4 sweep, and looks ricy.

these are very clean. they dont sweep when you first start them but i think i can live without that and keep about $200 in my pocket.

But then again... my friend was on the dyno, his autometer EGT fouled out, his Autometer Boost Gauge was off by 3 psi, and the oil pressure gauge got siezed on his trip and when pressure dropped, the gauge didnt and his motor siezed. All in all, I would say save for DEFI!

OK, I doubt your friend had 3 bad gauges all at once......1 I could understand but not 3. I would like to see his installation of all of them. Why did his oil pressure drop and his motor seize??? Sounds like your buddy cant take care of his car.

You can save for all Defi gauges all you want, but just because they are 3 times as much does not make them 3 times better. I have Apex'i gauges myself but I have run Autometer gauges in the past with no problem.

I had a brand new autometer 4301 boost gauge. it worked great for 2 weeks and the needle went off by 8 or 10 psi! It was so off that when i shut off the car, it was stuck on 10vac. when i hit boost (5psi) the needle barely hits 1mmHG of vac.

the gauge went out of calibration obviously in 2 weeks...since then i have returned the gauge to autometer for warranty, and then sent it back to the store for a refund. and then went and bought a Defi D-gauge boost gauge and have been happy ever since.

autometer is good, but their mechanical boost gauges suck!!!!

these knockoffs do not have a peak warning light or adjustability. There is no daisy chain system because of the lack of controller, no recordability or playback of data, theres more different between thease cheap knockoffs and real defi than just the brand name. believe me you get what you pay for.

ebay owns all... best prices great products... what else would you want? Ive bought shoes, shirts, car parts, etc. and i have not been scammed once. I just do my research on the persons feedback and etc. You really cant go wrong if you look into there feedbacks. That is my opinions though.... and those gauges i probably wouldnt buy. but hey try it and let us know...

The control unit is about 100-120...pretty cheap for what it allows you to do.

Yeah if you are running all electric gauges and want the sweep/peak holds etc. You need the controller..... the D gauges can just be run without it though.... but there is no sweep etc.
