resonator on my H22 del Sol
I'm finally beginning to cave and I think that within the next week I am going to go ahead and order a resonator for my custom exhaust system since I am getting tired of having my exhaust attract way too much attention and be bothersome on long trips. Anyways, I'm running an H22 JDM header to a 2.5" pipe all the way back to a Skunk2 universal muffler.
The power is great, but the noise isn't, so I talked to a couple people at the shop that I buy parts from and they are saying that I should get a big resonator, and that it won't hurt power that much. Anyways, I took a look online and there are so many, and I'm wondering what is going to fit. So guys, I was hoping that someone could recommend first a good resonator brand (I heard Magnaflows are great), then tell me the biggest one I could fit without having a lot of trouble.
Also, where can I buy these at a good price? Any of the site sponsors sell this?

Resonator is what I am asking about.
Any chance that a 22" resonator will fit?

The car I have right now has a resenator and its still sounds the same ( loud )
a resinator wont make the sound lower...
a cat will..
getting a resinatoer wont do anything

i have an h22 w/ a 30 in. resonator w/ a thermal exhaust in a '98 hatch. Its a lot quieter w/ the the bigger resonator on there than w/out one. you can use a glasspack as a resonator, they work fine, cheaper alternative than magnaflow.

Well the ones that I am looking at over at http://www.accordinglydone.com are 22" and made out of aluminum for $65. That sounds pretty reasonable to me.
It will make my car quieter right? I mean, uNbrokeN seems to be talking out of his *** here.

A resonator will mke it quieter, but unbroken is right about the convertor making a bigger difference.
No real suggestion on a paricular resonator since I'm looking for one as well.

Thank you for giving me a straight answer. I took out the resonator on another car I had and it made the car much louder, the cat doesn't do much sound reduction like the resonator.

You have a B16 Sol? Those are nice, sometimes I think that I should have gotten a B16 in mine.
