Replacing Wheel Bearings and what not...???
I'll be replacing my wheel bearing real soon.....but I have a few questions..
I have DC front brakes, and I have DA rear brakes.......I'd assume DC and DA bearings are the same?
Also on the rear, I used the DA TA and everything for my rear disc conversion, last year I was in an accident and I believe I bent my rear TA, I still have my Civic TA's in storage so I wanted to swap the disc hardware onto my Civic TA's and replace the wheel bearings in those.....what bearing would I use? Civic VX or DA/DC??
I'll be adding ARP extended wheel studs all around aswell, anything to watch out about those??

i know on the DC rears. the bearings and hub are one unit and are bolted on. for the front bearings i think they have to be pressed out. not sure but i would like to know?
u could call acura and ask if the bearings are the same or see if they have the same part number. but the DA rears are most likely similair to the DC.
as far as the trailling arms, to reaplce the brearings your gonna have ot take all the brakes off anyways so u might as well give it a shot to see if u can swap that over tot he civic trailings arms. and im pretty sure u would have to use the disc brake hub/bearing unit. if its even possible
now my question to add, do the front bearings and hub have to be pressed out or can i pull them out? i have a press is theyre a trick to getting them out if they need to be pressed?

Front bearings have to be pressed out. A special tool is needed to press the race off the hub, that I cant find a good substitute for. I would take it to the dealer. I paid $80 in labor to have both fronts done.
The rears are cake. The whole hub assy gets replaced.
Im pretty sure that the VX and DA/DC are the same hub/bearing, minus the fact that the DC has the little ribs for the ABS. The spindle that the bearing rides on should be the same diameter. Like I said, just pretty sure, not positive. I have yet to measure the two, personally.

Thanks guys...
So the fronts are a simple job of pressing them out, pressing in the studs and repressing the completed assembly back in to the front knuckle?
for the rears, you have to replace the entire hub?? I'm kinda lost here...haha, anyone care to help me out?

Thats perfect. Exactly the dilema I had. You either take the front hub to a shop and have them press that race off, or buy the right tool to hold the race while you press it out, which you may use one more time in the life of your car.

Re: (moto27cm)
and you can rent for free with a returnable deposit from autozone, the puller,, and to press it in any machine shop will do it both for $20 bucks... that way you know its in there nice and tight.

kinda late to the party here but the DA and the DC front bearings are different. I have 92-93 front da suspension on my 95 EJ1. I tried to put the DCs on the Da and found out the DCs were too big for the DA.

rears are easy and straight forward everything is bolted together. take the fronts to a machine shop. u can get all the parts off the hondaautomotive parts.com site unless u have a local hook up
