Replacing hood release cable on 93 civic dx(hatch)
My hood release cable has been binding for the last couple of weeks, so I removed and cleaned the lock assembly under the hood, sprayed the actual cable with wd-40.It will open but not close w/out manually depressing the lower spring(it looks fine).I need to replace the entire cable, the plastic nut broke off when I was poking
around.I have the service manual, but it doesnt really show the routing of the cable
and how to acess it.Im hoping I dont have to take off the front right fender. Can I acess the hood release cable by removing the underside wheel well trim?Anybody
ever replace one of these on their 92-95 civic?
thanks in advance...

I had to remove the front bumper and driverside fender liner to replace mine.
It's held in place with about 8 clips.
