Replacing Flywheel - can I use the old pilot bearing?

Default Replacing Flywheel - can I use the old pilot bearing?

So I'm installing a new clutch an flywheel on my b16a, can I used the old pilot bearing an the flywheel shim. Or should they be replace. Thanks for the help.

pilot bearings are cheap just a couple of dollars replace it
re the shim never seen one can you post a pic

They're just washers that come with the flywheel bolts.

Reuse only if you want to pull the trans in a couple hundred miles just to replace a $2 bearing...

That's like asking if you need to replace your oil filter when you're doing an oil change. It's simple, it's cheap, and it's the smart thing to do.

Any good clutch kit should come with the pilot bearing, throw out bearing and the alignment tool

Yes you can, but I would really advise that you don't.

just go to your nearest car shop/store they should be in stock over there, rather than wait for days to ship to your door.
