Replacing the Clutch???
I am replacing my clutch and flywheel with a new one. I purchased a ACT Clutch and Flywheel in a kit with a new throwout bearing and a new pilot bearing. I also invested in new ARP Flywheel and Pressure Plate bolts....that may have been a waste of money but I only want to do this once. So, I wanted to know if there are any seals, gaskets, bearings, or other items I should replace while I have the engine and transmission dropped?
The car is a 1993 Del Sol Si 5 speed.
I searched the forum and found some information about Accords and what should be replaced when they are servicing the clutch but I didn't know if that applied to Civic's.

Re: Replacing the Clutch???
Thanks batallic. While the axles are out should I replace the axle seals? I can't remember if the Del Sol Si axles have a separate seal.

Re: Replacing the Clutch???
While everything is out you might as well replace any necessary seals and belts such as the rear main seal, any mounts that appear to be damaged, etc. As for the axles I just purchase them at autozone and utilize the lifetime warranty to exchange them and therefore you don't waste petty cash down the line for boots and seals.
