I need to get the radio out of my girlfriends 99 Civic EX to get the serial number so I can get the code. I tried pulling it out but it seems as though there may be a trick to it that I am not aware of. There are some clips that looked like they held it in but I pushed and pulled on them with no success. If someone can steer me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

you need to pull out the big plastic trim piece around the radio and pocket. or you could just pull out the bottom console piece and crawl underneath to get the serial #. you have to pull the radio out and bring it to a dealership or you can im me with the serial# and i can get you the radio code.
