Removing rear drum. What size screw to use?
My rear drum is stuck. hammered it and it still won't come off. Does anyone know what's the size of the screw to push the drum out?

You are also going to want to collapse the drum pads. I saw this mentioned in another thread - basically as the pad wears into the drum, a ridge is created on the outside lip of the drum. So when you try to use the bolt to get the drum off, this lip could catch the pads and prevent you from getting it off...or worse, do some damage of some kind.
Honda Tuning even did an article on servicing the rear drums.

It's m8 or 8mm bolt. Unseating the pads can be hard to do. You have to insert two screw drivers in a hole about the size of a dime and you cant see crap. Instead, I just put the bolts in the drum and hammered away to get my drum off. Any pieces that break or bend during hammering should be replaced when you change the pads. It was called the return spring kit and I purchased it separately from the pads at Autozone for ~$7.

You should purchase that as part of the replacement anyway. Those springs are constantly heat cycled and stressed, and should be considered a wear part.

I wacked mine with a hammer around the outside of the drum, and then put in two bolts into the holes to get it loose. I only had ~50k on them when i replaced with disk brakes.

if you hammer it you can damage the drum. get a nice big chunk of wood and line it up and hammer that. just like someone posted above with the little ridge being formed and the shoe getting caught up, thats most likely what happend and hammering wont do anyway. you have to use the bolt and see if you can wedge a prybar in between the drum and backing and wiggle it out.
