Removing paint from CF and clearcoating ??s
I have a CF wing, I need to remove the white paint off of it, and apply a clearcoat to it.
I plan on using a lil stripper and sandpaper tog et the white off. Would I need any kind of a primer befor I clearcoat? This is an EVO VIII wing that Im doing. Anyone done this?
I knwo wrong forum, Im not getting any replys in A/C.
I was thinking
strip/sand
wetsand 1000=1500 grit.
clearcoat wetsand 1500
one last coat of clear.
ANYONE know if this will work out? or any suggestions?
P.S. THis bitch is going on my hatch 4 sho...jk

Re: (x_outlaw_x)
That wouldbe awesome if the orig. owner didnt try that for 50% of it...now its kinda whacked as I look closer at it. Looks as if he used a paint scrapper, as theres a few knicks throughout it all. The middle of the wing comes factory clearcoated, so it was blinging, but as he was taking the paint off of the sides, he somehow scraped it up a bit.
and I believe its got a gelcoat? so can that be clearcoated as is?
