Default Removing the heater core

Just wondering how many of you have removed your heater core and is it worth it? Building a track car with no needs of the heating system wondering if its worth it. Any idea on weight savings or anything? All info will be appreciated

Default Re: Removing the heater core (teefunk01)

i just bought this hatch w/ b18b1 and theres no heater core, i have the core and its pretty big, it would prob make a good difference, just do it right and dont rig it up. my car also has a coolant overflow prob., i dont think its from not having a core, i think the overflow prob. is from not having an oil cooler.
