removing crank pulley

Re: removing crank pulley (f150harleytruck7)
have to get a damn special tool unless you have one hell of an impact.
It fits inside the hex shaped hole in the crank and lets u put a breaker bar on there and one on the bolt and you can crack it loose. they cost like 25 bucks on amazon.com.

We got a breaker bar and literally stood on the bar. Theres a chance of breaking something, but I've used this technique three times and it has yet to fail me.

the holes are probably from when they balanced the pulley. They drilled the holes to remove the weight at that area.
Here is a recent thread discussing the same thing.

A chain wrench works well at holding the pulley, otherwise you could try jamming a screwdriver in the flywheel (I didnt try it but others say it works).
