Default Removing aftermarket headunit

Yo guys i need some help. I have an old *** jvc aftermarket radio in my 93 dx. i took off the center piece of the dash. I removed all of the screws people said, and removed the only two screws that were open to me which were what i thought was holding the head unit in position. the stereo wont budge when i try to push it out. does anyone know what i should do

The deck slides into a cage type thing. I 99% sure this is your issue. you will need to pull deck out of the cage, most of the time regular old butter knives will work, sometimes they wont.

The head unit slide and LOCKS into a cage. There should be "keys" to pop the locks. if you look at the L/R sides of the head unit, you will see some slots where the "keys" slide in and the locks are pushed away and the HD slides out. the easy way is to find someone with a set of keys (radio shops) for a JVC, the brute force method which is find whatever fits in there and yank it out, or make your own "keys" and slide it out.

The choice is yours....
