Default Redoin' the hubbies

Wuddup Fellas,
I was in the market for some new hubcaps and I found this set, but isn't there someway that I could make my old ones look like this on my own. I was thinking that I could go and get them powder coated, but I'm not sure if you can do that to plastic. Anyone know?

Powder coating is a process to coat metals with powder, so it doesn't chip and crack, etc. does not so much work on plastic because you have to apply an electrical charge when you spray it on and then bake it in an oven
^someone correct me if I'm wrong

But to fix your hub caps i guess you will want to sand the old hubcaps down so your next layer of paint will have something to adhere to. And not like sand as in sand some plastic off, like scuff them but get the old paint off... The exact process of that, I do not know ( what grit sandpaper you will want to use ) but yeah, I am sure somebody will know

i used 240 grit paper on my old ones, then used dupilcolor wheel paint in that color, looks identical to the ones on ebay, just sand enough to get the shine off
