recommended first mods?
Well it seems like intake dont do **** from what I've been reading here. Maybe just a drop in K&N filter then. A r-sr muffler cause its quiet. Shift ****, mp3 player, amp & sub. Any other cheap suggestions for clean looks or horse power?

Just save up for a swap, you can do a cheap mini-me swap, and there is a really good tutorial on how to do it here on honda-tech.com.. personally I wouldnt waste money buying intake / exhaust / headers etc until you have a bigger motor..
and if your already swapped rims and tires

oil change and all maintenance (because mods don't mean **** if your ride isn't taken car of)
lower it with springs or adj. coil-overs (these are fairly inexpensive and can be replaced later on with full body coil-overs if serious)
help it breathe out with a brand-name cat-back exhaust (you want a nice one so it will last)
if your paint sucks and you got rust FIX IT now so you want to dump all your money into it (it has to look nice or your not gonna want to keep it
swap in DOHC VTEC motor (you'll thank me)
add lightweight wheels and good tires
reinforce with some strut bars and sway bars
now do engine mods until you're broke
