recomendatoins?
I was wondering if anyone knew any good machine shops in the San Diego area? I'm trying to fix a car I got from my mother. The #4 rod is obliterated, and I need to take the engine to a shop once I have it removed from the car. I was able to get the piston out of the cylinder after pulling the oil pan. The cylinder walls look to be in good shape except for the very bottom it got all chewed up when the rod took a crap. As my screen name implies the car is a 95ex. Also if it will help I can post the pictures of the damage after I upload them.

agreed. a d15b is a direct swap, and i know you have importers local to save on shipping, should cost more than a few hundred for a low mileage JDM longblock.

Well I'm new to the whole import tunning crowd. I'm a Ford man at heart, but am fixing this car because my mother loves it, and would like to see it stay in the family. So if my questions are a little stupid bear with me I'm not used to working on Hondas. Is the d15b the dohc vtec? If so wouldn't I need to get the computer re-programed?

Ok please bear with my stupidity here, but would this work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
And would I need any of the accesories with it, or just the engine? I know it was said it's a direct swap, but could I get just the engine, or do I need other parts to go with the engine?

Thanks for the help and bearing with a noob. Just because I don't know about the honda world. That engine will bolt right into place I don't need to do anything special?
